OUR VISION:

We want to see students become fully devoted disciples of Christ.

WHAT IS IGNITE?

IGNITE Student Ministry is where teens can connect with God and each other and grow in their discipleship journey. 6th - 12th grade students come together each week for a fun and engaging small group discussion, Biblical teaching from Pastor Josh or one of our other leaders, games, worship, and more!

> IGNITE meets on Wednesday nights during the school year from 7 - 8:30pm. Doors open at 6:30 for hangout time, snacks, and occasionally a meal!

> We also have LifeGroups for high school guys and high school girls that meet on Sunday nights during the school year from 6-8 PM!

Find out more about our High School LifeGroups here.

THE 3 C’s (CONNECTIONS)

WE CARRY OUT OUR VISION THROUGH THE 3 C’S:

  • -Discipleship

    -Worship

    -Prayer

  • -Small group discipleship, discussion, and accountability

    -Fellowship and social activities/trips

-Empowering students to serve other areas of Tidal Creek

  • -Missions

    -Evangelism

    -Outreach/Service

MINISTRY VALUES:

  • We don’t merely want behavior modification; we want everything we do to be centered on the gospel as revealed in Scripture. We want to call students to respond to the gospel in faith and repentance, and engage them in three ways: head, heart, and hands. For students who have put their faith in Christ, we seek to train and equip them to grow in their faith and be ambassadors for Christ.

  • Students crave community, and the gospel provides that community. We believe that the primary way believers are discipled is in the context of relationships, and we want to nurture that by providing contexts for students to grow in intentional relationships with one another and leaders while also seeking to welcome newcomers into the fold.

  • As long as students live at home in a Christian household, their parents play an invaluable role in their discipleship and our ministry cannot, and should not, replace that role; therefore, we aim to serve the family as a whole by involving, resourcing, encouraging, and partnering with parents.

  • As a ministry, we aim to prepare students for when they leave the home, and a big part of this is their relationship with Christ’s bride. As such, we aim to provide ways for students to prepare for, and participate in, membership, giving, and service in the local church.

  • We aim to make disciples who then go and make disciples. All believers are called to make disciples, and we want to nurture that in our students and encourage and equip them to fulfill their role in God’s mission, even now.

JOIN US AT FUGE CAMP THIS SUMMER!

Students who have completed grades 6-12 are invited to join us at Fuge Camp at Ridgecrest Conference Center in Black Mountain, NC on July 15-19.

Join us for a week full of activities, sports, music, Bible study, MEGA Relay, messages from speaker Travis Agnew, and worship led by The Museum!

Check out this promo video to get a taste of what Fuge will be like!

FAQ

  • Fuge is a camp designed for middle school and high school students that is designed to take students out of their normal routine and place them into an environment that is focused on life-change through relationship with Christ!

There are many elements of camp that students will experience - morning celebrations, recreation, Bible study in groups, track times (which students will be assigned based on their preferences), Mega Relay competition on the last day, and worship led by The Museum and the speaker Travis Agnew

We will be doing Centrifuge where students are divided into groups for recreation and Bible study based on age ranges by grade completed.

    2024 THEME: “REVIVAL GENERATION”

Many times throughout history, we have seen the people of God rise up and turn back to Him with passion and fervor for their faith in times of great revival. What is revival? It isn’t goosebumps or an emotional high. Revival is the spiritual awakening of God’s people to their true nature and purpose. Revival is mainly for God’s people, but those who do not know Christ also benefit because Christians actually get serious about their faith. Has the time come for another great revival? Will your generation lead the way? Join us for FUGE Camps 2024 as we look at four stories in the Bible of great change and revival that resulted in generational impact and be challenged to make a difference for generations to come.

“And my people, who bear my name, humble themselves, pray and seek my face, and turn from their evil ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.” - 2 Chronicles 7:14

  • The total cost of camp is $400 ($75 deposit required at registration - due by Sunday, April 28th. Final Balance is due Sunday, June 30th).

There are 2 ways you can lower this cost:

    1) Register with your deposit by APRIL 3RD for a $20 off Early Bird Discount!

    2) Participate in our Camp Scholarship Program! Students have to complete a 30-day Bible reading plan that we will provide in May, AND serve at our Children’s Sports Camp this summer (June 12-16). This will lower the total cost by $125. (This is made possible through donations, the envelope fundraiser we will do in June, and some of our budgeted camp funds).

The cost covers transportation, camp programming, lodging, and meals while at camp. Students will need money for lunch on the way there and lunch on the way back, and it is recommended that they bring spending money for snacks, merch, etc.

If cost is still an issue, please contact Pastor Josh at josh@tidalcreek.net so that we can explore possible options. (We never want money to be the reason students can’t attend).

  • Financial assistance is available through the Camp Scholarship Program, which includes 2 requirements for students to fulfill:

    1) Completing a 30 Day Bible Reading Plan (Reading Plan will be available May 1st)
