Darkness to Light Workshop
We have invited Jeanne Owens of Hope Haven of the Low Country to lead a workshop at Tidal Creek called ''Darkness to Light,'' a child sexual abuse prevention workshop. Jeanne will be at our church on Sunday, February 14 to make a presentation about this workshop that will last 45 minutes. The workshop is for childcare volunteers and professionals, ages 18-65. Materials are free and those participating will be compensated. Come and hear more about this on Sunday, February 14 at 7:30 AM or 9:00 AM.
Haiti Relief Mission
Tidal Creek Fellowship is partnering with Baptist Church of Beaufort to support a medical mission to the Northwest Region of Haiti.
Medical professionals interested in going on the mission trip please see John Hetrick after the service today at a Missions Table in the hallway.
Supplies and funds are needed. If you would like to contribute supplies you can pick up a list of need supplies from the Missions Table. If you are contributing funds please make checks out to Tidal Creek Fellowship and put Haiti Earthquake Relief on the memo line. Funds will be used for supplies and/or the cost of the trip for those going.
If you've made a monetary donation to Haiti relief, the IRS will let you claim a deduction on your 2009 tax bill. Contributions made between Jan. 12, 2010, and March 1, 2010, to organizations involved in earthquake relief in Haiti are eligible.
Would you like to be a Guardian Angel?
Each Sunday, our Guardian Angel team watches over our children and congregation by patrolling the halls, communicating on the walkie-talkies and alerting us to any emergencies. Angels serve one service each Sunday for two Sundays in a row, then rotates off for a month. We could use 1-2 more Angels during the second service, so if you are interested, please contact Melissa Williams at 986-0735 or dmwilliams01@hargray.com.
Beaufort Women's Center News
If you are a post-abortion woman struggling through the pain of issues relating to an abortion experience, there is healing and hope! The Beaufort Women's Center is offering abortion recovery assistance through "Healing Hearts", a 10-week Bible study support group that will meet Monday evenings from 6:30 – 9:00 pm beginning Monday, February 22nd. For those of you who are reading through the Old Testament this year, I highly encourage you to join us on Monday, February 22nd at 6:30 PM at Berry Island. Dr. Robert Cuttino, Old Testament Scholar and Pastor, will again lead us in a study of the Old Testament, particularly the books of Exodus and Leviticus.
