STEPHEN MINISTRY
Stephen Ministry is looking for men and women to help come along side others going through a time of uncertainty in their lives. Has anyone every told you that you were a good listener? Do you consider yourself to be compassionate and merciful to the lives of others? Do you have a heart for others? Requirements to become a Stephen Minister are 50 hours of training and a willingness to serve. WANTED-Arms to rock and hands to help walk. Our precious babies in the Shrimp Shack I (ages 0-18 months) need YOU. You would serve 2 Sundays for 1 ˝ hours per week and then come back to us in 6 weeks. We are in need of 4 people or 2 couples. Wanted…No experience necessary…must be alive and willing. Pay is heavenly. Hours are everlasting. Work is divine. We have openings at 7:30 Saturday mornings for about two (2) hours, also on Sunday after the second service. Are you looking for a new adventure? We have one, it may appear to you like bungee jumping or riding a bull at first but once you experience it you will be hooked. We have a need for Home Group facilitators for the Student Ministry. While that may bring some of the same feelings as staring of the edge of a platform with an oversized cord strapped to your ankles, it will also bring the same adventure. Many of our current leaders have experienced a new level of life as they have facilitated the groups. You don't have to have any experience, you just have to be able to be honest with students and be able to hold a conversation. We ask that our facilitators be at group every week, attend a coaches meeting once a month, and connect with the students once a month outside of group and church. Grief Response Team and Leader
When a family experiences the loss of a loved one, Tidal Creek would like to be ready to come alongside of them. The church staff and Stephen Ministry are ready to come alongside them in a caring capacity, yet even more is needed with practical matters like meals. If you would like to serve on team that is ready to respond to a family's special needs during times of grief, or if you would like to LEAD such a team, contact Leslie Rowell at pldk@embarqmail.com.

Each week our members go to www.tidalcreek.net for the latest news and information. Some folks actually shop for a church by browsing church's websites! How would you like to learn how to help update the site or better yet help us make the site better? Creativity and imagination is the fun part of keeping this ministry relevant and fun. Sub for Setup Team Leader
From time to time, our Setup Team Leader, Craig Oakley, needs a person or two that can fill in for him if he is sick or has to be away. We need someone that would be willing to learn the setup process and procedures so that he/she could serve as a substitute in these situations. SHRIMP SHACK III
The Shrimp Shack III is in need of some fun and fabulous volunteers to be blessed by our 3-year-olds. These volunteers would assist the lead teacher, Mrs. Cammy, with crafts, snack, singing and Bible stories. Volunteer serve for 2 weeks from 10:15 - 11:45 and are off for 6 weeks. No experience or special skills required. Just a heart willing to be changed as you see Jesus through the eyes of a 3-year-old. Needed: Communion Helper
Have you ever wondered who puts the fresh bread and the large cups of juice on our tables for Communion? It can be you! About 5 times a year we celebrate Communion together and we need to form a team of about three people that can rotate in handling this responsibility. The church will cover all the costs, we just need a few people that can purchase the bread and juice and have them ready for both services on Sunday morning. Needed: An Events Team
Tidal Creek Fellowship is in need of a team of people (about 5-7 would be nice!) who are inspired by the sight of watching a great event come together! Throughout the year Tidal Creek has events like our Thanksgiving and Easter Dinners, Picnics/Baptisms, and other events that need a team of people for planning and implementation. This team would oversee roughly 5 or 6 events a year. Are you the person that never forgets a detail when planning a party, you remember everything from the candles for the cake down to the trash bags. Then we have a spot for you! We are looking for people to come along side the Core Lead team that will take an event and help plan it, down to the details. There is everything from large fundraising events to day trips to Charleston. The good thing about this is you get to serve on your time when you have time and you don't have to go on the trip but you may want to. HOME Groups are circles of friends who meet weekly in homes all over Beaufort for Bible study, prayer, fellowship, ministry and FUN! Time commitment for hosts: 3 hours a week. For leaders: Leading a 2-2 1/2 hour study plus preparation time. Training provided by our HOME group ministry, with the next training scheduled for March.
